ABOUT GABRA
Gabra Zackman is a New York based actress, writer, and audiobook narrator. She is the author of The Bod Squad series, a sexy spy caper trio, published by Simon and Schuster's Pocket Books. Before the world fell apart, her favorite thing to do was wander the streets of New York, lurk in a cafe and watch the world go by, all while pretending to be writing her next book.

As an actress, Gabra has been seen in classics, new plays, and everything in between. She got her MFA from the Academy for Classical Acting at the Shakespeare Theater in DC, and has had the privilege of doing a fair amount of classics around the country. She has been seen on TV in "Law and Order", "Law and Order: SVU" and "All My Children" and in the film "Law Abiding Citizen." Gabra is fond of saying that she is equally adept at queens and clowns, though professes a deep love for playing all kinds of witches. She is a powerful force onstage, and a wicked wit at the bar afterwards. If she has more than one bourbon, she's less witty, but more charming.

Gabra has a parallel career in the audiobook world, where she is an Audie and Earphones award-winning narrator. She has worked in the industry for over 15 years, has recorded over 500 audiobooks to date, and records everything from romance to memoir to fantasy to sci-fi. She is happy recording any and all, provided there's a powerful heroine at the center, or a remarkable story that must be told.

Gabra is known for her versatility as an artist, and is currently working equally in three artistic fields. She loves how the crafts of acting, writing and narration all inform and influence each other. She feels profoundly lucky to get to tell stories in so many different ways. Gabra is a passionate feminist and unabashedly anti-racist. She believes, with all her heart, that artists shall inherit the earth.
